Polygroup Limited today announced it had completed its purchase of selected assets of Boto Company Limited and other members of the Boto group of companies. Boto, previously a Hong Kong-listed company and a leading producer of artificial Christmas trees and related products, ceased operations in late 2007. Polygroup’s acquisition includes the entire Boto intellectual property portfolio of patents, trademarks, and internet assets, as well as key production equipment related to polyvinyl chloride (PVC) processing. Polygroup also has employed several former key managers from Boto’s manufacturing divisions. Lewis Cheng, a Polygroup Director, commented: "The acquisition of these assets will enable Polygroup to continue to expand our manufacturing operations in Asia. They also provide us the knowledge and tools to offer Boto’s former customers around the world the opportunity to seamlessly transition their business to Polygroup which will provide them with high quality products and services at competitive prices." Polygroup is the world’s largest producer and marketer of artificial Christmas trees and seasonal lighting, as well as a leading producer of above-ground swimming pools, inflatable toys and inflatable sporting goods.
